Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have to create and complete bids/estimations/quotations / technical advices and specific calculations based on customer specification and / or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company. Maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility.The work model for the role is: #Li - Onsite This role is contributing to the Global Quotation Support team for Motion System Drives division in Hebbal, Bangalore. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tFormulates competitive bids/estimates/quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation.•\tManages the preparation of offer including all technical documentation (e.g. defining the most suitable technology and product type), prices and trading conditions. •\tOffering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems.•\tIn accordance with bid/estimate/quotation planning, ensures that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures. •\tPerforming analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.•\tDeveloping and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems; and ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).•\tEnsuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.
Qualifications for the role\tBE/BTECH in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.\t8-10 years of experience in Quotation Support, Technical Support, or Drives/VFD.\tStrong electrical engineering background with the ability to perform electrical calculations.\tIn-depth knowledge of ABB products and technologies, particularly ABB Motion Drive Products or Motion System Drives portfolio.\tAbility to act as a liaison between ABB local Sales teams and regional/global division teams (Commercial and technical support).\tKnowledge of VFDs; quotation experience is a plus.\tProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).\tFamiliarity with Salesforce and Power BI is an advantage.
