Our client, a premiere contractor renowned for delivering high-quality services, needs an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor for Civil/Utility projects. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a significant role in the execution of electrical supply within a Data Centre project. You will be leading a team of Quantity Surveyors and will be reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor. This role is on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Evaluate project objectives and goals to develop detailed cost estimates and budgets for the projects.
Oversee cost planning and management of projects, including estimating, budgeting, and cost control measures.
Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including contract conditions, bills of quantities, and subcontractor packages.
Prepare updated cost reports, providing project managers and stakeholders with insights into cost performance.
Implement effective cost control measures to monitor project expenditures and identify issues and present reliable solutions.
Participate in project meetings, providing expertise and insights on cost management issues and strategies.
Lead and mentor the QS and Trainee QS, fostering collaborative and supportive team environment.
Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or related field.
5+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying within construction preferably in Civils/Utility.
Data Centre experience is beneficial.
Prominent level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of quantity surveying and reporting.
Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software and tools.
Excellent negotiation, problem solving and communication skills.
