Reports to the Director of Quality of Health and Environmental Quality Innovation Center as well as supporting the Product Quality Assurance Department Management. Will work with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and reliability of both parts and products. Will be responsible for testing of parts and finished products for initial product development and long-term ongoing reliability evaluation.
Responsibilities Provide technical assistance to internal and external SMCA customers. Analyze warranty data and field claims from SEMCA and OEM customers.Responsible for oversight of nonconforming materials and products. Communicating and following through with suppliers and leadership concerning investigation and needed corrective action to ensure continuous improvement. Participate in internal factory and external supplier factory audits. Maintain a steady awareness and practices to ensure independent recognition of reliability and quality trends. Support SMCA management to improve product quality to meet customer requirements.Monitor and/or update work instructions, forms, and checklists for design evaluation, reliability testing, and regulatory agency testing. Assist with the monitoring and reporting of daily inspection operations and results.Assist in developing and conducting design and process evaluations for new product introduction to ensure compliance with customer requirements.Responsible for maintaining records and reports of actions and investigations pertaining to product reliability, quality assurance, and ISO standards.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with preference to Mechanical, Process, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering degree. Minimum of 8 years of experience. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Effective working in a Microsoft Office environment with an emphasis on Excel and Access skills.

Compensation for this position
The compensation range for this role is $46,700-$97,300. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
