Senior QA Specialist

Summary: Goldbelt CP Marine is seeking a Senior QA Specialist to support the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and processes to ensure the quality and reliability of products and services. Lead and manage a team of QA professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of performance. Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Oversee the execution of tests, including manual and automated testing, and analyze test results to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define and document quality requirements and ensure they are met throughout the development lifecycle. Review and analyze project specifications, design documents, and requirements to ensure they align with quality standards and best practices. Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to increase efficiency and coverage in testing processes. Monitor and report on QA metrics, including defect rates, test coverage, and testing progress, providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality policies and procedures. Identify and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to enhance QA practices and improve overall product quality. Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and their impact on QA processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree At least 10 years of experience in providing quality control and assurance for projects and associated deliverables. Ability to travel up to 50%.
