Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in Torrance, California for a Senior Project Manager IT in the automotive industry. The role involves managing the design, development, and implementation of the Dealer Communication system across multiple business areas while maintaining a high performing team. The workplace is a hybrid environment, with occasional onsite requirements. Key Responsibilities: + Lead the design development and implementation of the Dealer Communication system across multiple business areas. + Govern and oversee a high-performing team composed of associates, contingent staff members, and vendor partners. + Align the project team with the department, and business unit objectives + Work closely with multiple areas of the business unit - Sales, Parts, Service, Finance etc., managing vendor suppliers. + Lead the delivery of both strategic and tactical projects, including the development of proposals, dashboards, and presentations. + Handle complex technology solutions including understanding business and technical aspects of the system and navigating a complex multi-organization ecosystem. + Manage the development of the Dealer Communication System (DCS) and ensure it meets current and future dealer and business needs. Requirements Requirements: + IS-related Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience + 3-5 years of experience managing professionals that lead teams, groups, and vendors + 5-8 years of project management experience (Agile and Waterfall) + 5-8 years of technical management experience + 3-5 years of experience working with business groups and enterprise organizations (Legal, Procurement, Enterprise Architecture etc.) + 2-3 years of experience procuring and managing outsourced and offsite partners + Technical understanding of mobile web services-based solutions + Experience with dealer automotive systems (DCS/DMS) projects or other technology projects is desirable + Experience with client-server, SaaS, PaaS, and experience with Liferay platform implementations is preferred. + Proven track record of delivering high volume transaction applications. + Experience with developing and managing a budget of at least $5M.
