Job Title: 

Senior Project Manager

Summary/Objective:

The role of the Senior Project Manager is to plan, execute, and deliver complex projects according to strict deadlines and within budget while delivering project objectives. This includes planning, executing, and controlling project management activities including scope management, requirements management, communication management, issue and risk management, and budget and resource management, internally & externally. This role also requires close work with senior management, steering committees, and other project managers to steer projects and business organizations toward achieving intended business results.

Key Responsibilities: 

Direct, manage and implement multiple, simultaneous, complex projects from Kick-off  to delivery & closure.

 Define and document project scope, goals and other key deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management, teams and stakeholders.

Identify and manage project dependencies, risks, issues, assumptions and critical paths.

Create project-based communications (i.e., minutes, status, informational materials) and distribute information as appropriate.

Ensure all project artifacts are delivered on time within scope and budget. 

Ability to work independently, accept accountability and meet deadlines.

Make data driven decisions across the project life cycle. 

Collaborate with project managers, technology partners and key stakeholders to define next steps and develop solutions when issues arise. 

Establish and consistently maintain expectations with team members and other stakeholders. 

 Personally and proactively deliver difficult/urgent/controversial messages to key stakeholders before mass communication is distributed.

Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence.

Develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with immediate team members.

Lead proactively and passionately while practicing and fostering respectful interaction, transparency and accountability

Manage projects that have an impact on several domains within the organization such as marketing, legal, customer service etc. 

Conducts resource planning, budget forecasting & development, change control in order to deliver the planned project.

Champion best practices in project management, continuously improving process and methodologies to optimize efficiency and quality. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology preferred

3-5 years of experience managing and successfully delivering mission critical projects

Project Management experience using agile methodology

Expert level capability and understanding of project management and planning

 Expert facilitation, collaboration, communication and presentation skills

Strong leadership and collaboration skills 

Expert customer focus, organizational agility and drive for results 

Expert ability to train others on utilizing standard and newly created processes 

 Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills 

Experience managing and delivering multiple, simultaneous, complex projects

Experience operating in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment 

Comfortable wearing many hats and allowing the job description to fluctuate when needed

Proficient with Google Suite & JIRA

Experience working with external parties (ex: partners, vendors, customers, contractors, etc.)

Knowledge of the financial services industry is an asset

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset

Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
