Senior Project Manager
Overview The IT Project Manager III is responsible for planning, estimating, providing day-to-day management, leadership, direction, and administration across the full project lifecycle. The Project Manager III will serve as the liaison between technical and non-technical departments, working collaboratively to ensure that business and IT objectives are accomplished. Overview of Responsibilities Accomplish project objectives within the constraints of scope, schedule, cost, and quality. Develop project plans/schedules, monitor progress against project plans/schedules, publish updated project plans/schedules and revise plans/schedules to reflect delays, issues, and changes in scope. Manage and direct assigned project resources to best meet project objectives; develop and implement organization structure for each project including roles and responsibilities for each member of the project team. Manage and monitor day-to-day activity and provide direction to project team members and supporting organizations. Develop supporting project management plans such as scope, cost, risk, schedule, quality, resource, procurement, and change management plans. Log all issues and risks; resolve project issues and risks with project Sponsors, including impact and mitigation assessments and proposals. Own all project communication, including status reporting, risk management, and escalation of issues. Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the project Sponsor and stakeholders. Conduct post-mortem session and document lessons learned. Ensure that all project deliverables and artifacts are stored and maintained. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or Engineering or combination education and experience in a related discipline; Retail vertical industry experience preferred PMI and/or Scrum certification preferred Retail merchandising and supply chain experience preferred Minimum 10 years’ experience managing enterprise IT projects with applied knowledge and experience in the following methodologies or disciplines: Agile and Scrum, Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Read floor plans/architect prints Expert understanding of and experience with software development and infrastructure project lifecycles and business planning with a proven track record of success in multiple, complex projects Ability to build a strong network and relationships across Technology functions and the business units Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments Ability to assess the impact of new project requirements on an existing team workload Ability to assess and resolve complex business problems, issues and risks in order to facilitate conflict management, issue resolution, and risk mitigation.
