Overview Gallagher Re is implementation a transformation portfolio consisting of various projects delivering solutions which will bring significant business change. The role of Senior Project Manager will be part of Gallagher Re’s Global Projects & Change team and is responsible for delivering projects of various sizes and scope. The Senior Project Manager will manage multiple projects from idea to implementation and closure/handover ensuring that they meet business objectives, makes effective and efficient use of resources, and completes projects within the agreed budget, scope and timescale. The role will lead and manage multiple project teams, with the authority and responsibility to run projects on a day-to-day basis whilst driving governance and project reporting and developing value as trusted business partner to the business. We are looking to speak with individuals who have a breadth and depth of understanding of (re)insurance business needs, processes, technology and data. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with sponsors, the business and corporate functions (Technology, Operations, Finance etc.) to determine options and solutions. How you'll make an impact Responsible for managing multiple projects across the lifecycle Responsible for planning, execution and reporting on multiple projects Responsible for adhering to governance framework requirements Works with business to ensure clear scope, dependencies, timelines, deliverables Works with stakeholders to detail resourcing needs, budgets, sourcing and allocation Works with business to produce business case, ROI, business impact assessments and success criteria Organises and runs the SteerCo for projects Ensures that projects are properly planned, executed and controlled effectively with appropriate gateways / checks and monitoring and reporting Responsible for effective communication on all relevant aspects of a project and change effort where applicable Ensure projects’ resourcing needs, sourcing and management are effectively done Continuously monitors, in collaboration with Finance, project actuals versus budget, and forecast Responsible for ensuring appropriate coordination and management of dependencies / issues within and across projects Investigates, resolves or escalates problems and develops recommendations for resolution Member of SteerCo for projects Secretariat for Projects (or delegate to Project support) Attends projects monthly meeting with Global Transformation Director (GTD), Head of GP&C, PMO and GP&C only project team to review key issues / concerns & costings Conducts monthly meeting with Finance on projects level budgets / actuals / forecasts About you Previosu experience gained as Senior Project Manager working within the (re)insurance industry A solid understanding and experience of the full project lifecycle and project management, including project resource and financial management aspects Experienced using and knowledge of projects management principles, methodologies and tools Comfortable with both waterfall and agile delivery methods, tools and approaches Ability to establish, build and maintain relationships through all levels and roles, including third-parties Ability to influence others and move toward a common goal and objectives Establishes an accountable and collaborative team-based environment Team player and able to work collaboratively across functions and teams at all levels of the organisation Excellent communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations Problem solving and root cause identification skills Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
