**Job Description**
**Turner & Townsend** are seeking an experienced **Senior Project Engineer** to join our team to support large-scale construction maintenance and turnaround projects. The ideal individual will have a proven track record of excellent project delivery.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Manage stakeholders to ensure timely engagement of the proper technical authorities for approval of project scope and design.
+ The portfolio of projects will include a combination of AI/MM/growth projects aimed at facility improvement and upgrades
+ Manages a portfolio 6 to 10 simultaneous projects with competing priorities in various execution phases
+ Accountable for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within approved budgets, and meeting all project objectives.
+ Develops project scope in collaboration with Business, Operations, process engineering and discipline representatives.
+ Is accountable for ensuring timely engagement of the proper technical authorities for approval of project scope and design.
+ Manages a matrix project team of Shell staff and Contractors
+ Oversees engineering execution utilizing a combination of on-site design staff, local and remote based engineering companies.
+ Responsible for coordination and management of Project Assurance activities.
+ Works with Project Controls to develop project cost estimates and schedules and to manage and forecast budgets and schedules. Tracks KPIs as a tool for project management, and reports status to stakeholders.
+ Works with site Contracting and Procurement to develop/implement a procurement strategy for each project.
+ Works with environmental to ensure permitting strategy/compliance.
+ Works with internal and external benchmarking to evaluate project cost competitiveness, readiness to proceed, and opportunities for improvement.
+ Works with construction to develop robust construction management plans.
+ Coordinates personnel and Contractors to assure that field activities are completed safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with the design requirements. Is an active and visible presence during field construction to keep the focus on Safety.
+ Provides technical support during start-up, supports training activities and assures documentation and knowledge transfer.
+ Provides appropriate record documentation to site Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Project files, and other site records.
+ Financially closes project accounts in a timely manner after ensuring that all costs have been properly captured.
+ He/she will have expertise in the Capital Projects Process and lead initiatives to improve execution of this process.
+ Rapid response to RFIs from the field.
+ Client management – assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities.
+ Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project is captured.
+ SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

**Qualifications**
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Customer focus.
+ Leadership and coaching, with a Learner Mindset.
+ Engineering or related Technical Degree.
+ Strong project management skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and projects.
+ In-depth understanding of the ORS/PMF/DCAF.
+ Experience with managing all phases of a project process.
+ 5+ years full time experience as a project engineer or project manager.
+ 8+ years varied experience in Refining and / or Petrochemical environment (e.g. projects, maintenance, turnarounds).
**Additional Information**
**The salary range for this full-time role is** **$130K-$200k** **per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.**
