Senior Project Engineer - New Plants (Hybrid)

About the role:

As a Senior Project Engineer for new projects, you will support New Plants Engineering as part of the US-based International AP1000 Project Engineering department. You will engage on a vast set of nuclear power plant design topics in support to Westinghouse International new build market development and capture. The International AP1000 Project Engineering department includes two groups, one US-based and one Europe-based, the EMEA New Plants Engineering group. The two groups, together with the other leaders of the department, work together to deliver the missions of the department

You will report to the IMS, BIM and Digital Design Integration PEM. You will be hybrid based in Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Woods, PA.  No relocation will be provided for this position.  We can entertain candidates authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities:

Strengthen Nuclear safety Culture Traits and Human Performance tools

Support future bid and proposal efforts in European countries, working across technical areas like Engineering, Licensing, SCM and QA leading across engineering teams

Achieve results with high accountability exhibiting flexibility to lead efforts in support FEED and New Build Project milestones, while concurrently managing many tasks

Develop solution paths for technical, commercial, and financial problems issues

Develop internal and external relationships across organizational boundaries

Flexible project plans, including schedule and budget activities for New Build AP1000

Lead team meetings and ensure deliverables and handoffs are accomplished per plan

Guide decision making that meets project technical, commercial, and schedule needs

Use expertise across functional disciplines and global work locations

AP1000 design like configuration management, digital design and IMS

AP1000 design criteria and governing code requirements

Lead internal Department projects like improvement projects for future estimation process

Manage AP1000 Index of Engineering Documents (IED)

Author Project Plans for configuration management, digital design and IMS

 Qualifications:

8+ years' project engineering

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 4 years Engineering
