Role description:

Arcadis Canada is looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead the delivery of major and complex programs, liasing with senior internal/external stakeholders to ensure needs are met and providing strong leadership to all projects team withing the Mobility Global Business Area (GBA).  

In Mobility we partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

This role will report into the Mobility Canada Business Unit Director in Design & Engineering. 

Role accountabilities:

In this role you will be expected to lead project delivery teams, designers, engineers and other professionals who are essentials to a project’s success, plan information and communication processes, identify, analyse and establish risk treatment and controls, and communicate risk and opportunities effectively, both internally and externally. You will lead a diverse functional team, setting objectives, managing performance, and ensuring staff have the necessary skills to deliver project/program and organizational objectives. You will manage, motivate, and provide direction to senior specialists and managers to develop a driven and well-informed team. 

This person will also lead the overall financial management for projects and programs, including developing performance targets and budgets and helping to develop key commercial strategies, to meet and exceed profit generation targets. You will drive performance by leading the definition and implementation of complex projects and programs, managing multidisciplinary teams and working to project or program  to ensure delivery standards meet client expectations. You will manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies, both program-wide an in cross-organizational working, to ensure commercial viability and customer satisfaction. 

Additionally, you will be responsible to educate and influence senior colleagues about risk policies and governance processes to instill a culture of awareness and commitment to risk management and ensure compliance with organizational policies and codes of conduct. You will analyze and review recommendations and analysis from multiple sources to make informed, authoritative technical decisions to improve business performance. You will direct, define and lead the development and continuous improvement of program-wide processes, systems and policies and contribute to wider organizational initiatives to improve performance. 

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors or masters degree 15+ years of relevant experience, with at least 10 years program management experience  Experience leading major programs with a diversity of deliverables across large client businesses  Experience managing business relationships at an executive level Experience leading and implementing complex business change solutions  Subject matter expertise in own discipline  Leading program management expert within area of specialism

The salary range for this position is $133,490 - $247,910. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
