Senior Professional, Construction Management
**This Opportunity** WSP is seeking a **Construction Manager** to oversee and coordinate construction projects within the private sector in the **Philadelphia, PA** area for the Philadelphia Water Department. These projects are all located within the City of Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supervising a team of up to six inspectors. The Construction Manager will play a crucial role in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standard for our client. **Your Impact** Project Management: + Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion. + Reviews project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders. + Coordinate resources, materials, and equipment necessary for project execution. Team Leadership: + Supervise and mentor a team of up to six inspectors, providing guidance and support. + Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions. + Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Quality Assurance: + Ensure that all construction activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and local codes. + Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess compliance and quality. + Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary. Communication and Reporting: + Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies. + Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders. + Maintain clear and open lines of communication with all project participants. Risk Management: + Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. + Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure on-time delivery. + Resolve conflicts and issues that may arise during the construction process. Budget Management: + Track project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. + Review and approve invoices and change orders in collaboration with finance teams. + Analyze financial reports and recommend cost-saving measures when applicable. **Who You Are** Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in construction management. + 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in construction management, with a proven track record in the private sector. + Experience supervising teams, particularly in a construction or engineering environment. + OSHA certification and knowledge of safety regulations. + Strong leadership and team management skills. + Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. + Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts effectively. \#LI-RR1 **About WSP** WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
