The Position

Software Product Owner has a self-propelling role, working with one or more software development teams within the R&D organization, to build and deliver a product vision and roadmap that increases value for our customers.

Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:Translate the company’s customer value propositions into meaningful, industry-leading software (sub)products, that delight our customers.Collect feedback about specific needs by communicating with collaborators on a regular basis and using this information to improve the products.Make the product backlog visible and clear.Handle incoming bug reports and change requests for the product. Handle customer concerns and blocking issues.Drive customer satisfaction by optimizing product performance, improving reliability and stability, continuously balancing the introduction of new features with the implementation of functional and non-functional improvements.Support risk management, process improvement and quality assurance where vital.Agree with resource managers on efficient staffing of the development team.Work in compliance with legislation.

Requirements:

The fittest candidate for this position enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary technical environment to address sophisticated problems. If you enjoy the development of high-performance integrated systems, this is an excellent opportunity.

Typically requires at least 3+ years in a software product owner or project management role.A university degree is required, software domain is preferred.Understanding of software development processes and tools.Sense for agile development. Experience with Scrum is an advantage.Experience with a multisite and multidisciplinary environment.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Willingness to travel abroad.
