Job Summary:
Reports to the Portfolio Product Owner (PPO) of Alternatives & Private Credit within the Global Investment Solutions (GIS) function of Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI) and is responsible for Private Credit product development.
The Senior Product Owner translates business milestones, requirements into a product roadmap and owns the outcomes and value creation for both the business and technical workstreams.
Partner with dedicated Scrum team(s) ensuring successful backlog creation and implementation of capabilities and feature sets critical
for the investment lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Develop influential relationships with key stakeholders (investors and line management) across Global Fixed Income (GFI) and Global Private Investments (GPI). Be the consultative partner, a trusted advisor, advocate and primary point of contact for all things Private Credit.Exude mindset and demonstrated behavior of "extreme ownership" for the Private Credit ecosystem across stakeholders and product.Navigate ambiguity, manage conflicting priorities, and facilitate challenging conversations.Contribute to the creation of product vision, design, UX experience and alignment with strategic priorities with stakeholders. Communicate the product and portfolio vision to the core team and keep impacted teams contemporaneously informed, factoring in dependencies, etc.Own and maintain the product backlog. Accountable for its contents, prioritization, acceptance criteria, and clear, actionable stories.Participate in team demos, presentations, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc., and all other Agile framework ceremonies.Set priorities and actively participates in team planning. Set expectations with stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.Participate in validation, testing and final approval of features prior to end user acceptance (UAT).Monitor and maintain the product health, supporting long-term product viability and efficiency, and balancing long- and short-term and costs with desired outcomes.Analyze feasibility, risk, trade-offs, cost of delay ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential changes to the product suite.Own and manage relationships with current stable of implementation partners, third party vendor platforms.Lead due diligence and evaluation of potential implementation partners, third party vendors, in alignment with the Private Credit vision and product strategy.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in Private Credit with a focus on Direct Lending and Fund structure strategiesExperience with vendor platforms (e.g., Aladdin, DealCloud, eFront, WSO, etc.)Exemplary communication and negotiation skills to effectively facilitate meetings with multiple teams, business partners at all levels across the organizationProven track record of delivering innovative technology solutions to business partnersSkill at translating business needs into technology features / stories.Hands-on experience working with JiraCertified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Qualifications Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies as typically acquired through a Bachelors? degree in relevant field (business, computer science, humanities etc), 7 years in business, technology, or consulting with 5 to 7 years direct experience with agile teamsMaster's degree preferredHigh level of proven business expertise needed to set clear priorities for product and understand business value impactsDevelops strong stakeholder relationships and influencing across multiple organizational boundariesDemonstrated experience leading varied audiences through the development of complex ideas, issues and designsAbility to lead varied audiences through census buildingProven experience with Agile practices and expectationsComfortable with making decisions with some level of uncertaintyStrong communication skills, both written and verbalKnowledge of insurance industry preferredKnowledge of relevant products and portfolio strongly preferredStrong experimental mindset to drive innovation amongst uncertainty and exploit market opportunities About Us**This position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location.**
