Senior Product Manager - CTRM Power and Renewables
Role
We are looking for talented individuals with business knowledge of the North American and/or European power markets and related operations; and, ideally, with specific working experience with the Allegro CTRM product as a user, business analyst, implementation/technical consultant, or software engineer, to join our product management team.
In addition to contributing directly to the evolution of ION's core power and gas commodities products, you will have the opportunity to interact with internal and external stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry needs, as well ION’s CMS portfolio.

Ideal candidates are self-starting, adept at prioritizing multiple tasks, communicative, and enjoy working in a face paced team environmentResponsibilitiesBe the Power and Renewables market expert, understand market drivers, overall industry structure, customer needs (today and tomorrow), competitive positionUnderstand customer and prospect needs through client and project interactions, intracompany feedback, and marketplace research and assessmentUnderstand and clearly articulate product implications for current and future customer needs, including product enhancement requestsDefine solutions for targeted market needs and customer specific issuesCollaborate to develop the product roadmap for the Allegro Power and Renewable products and related modulesDrive the product build processMaintain the product backlog, defining requirements/epics and collaborating with Development teams to refine user stories and effort estimatesDefine software release scope, creating functional specifications and use cases, providing continuous feedback to the development team, and reviewing/accepting completed product Work with Quality Assurance to develop acceptance test plansProvide documentation content for release notes, user guides, and knowledge transfer materialsDemonstrate product capabilities to internal and external stakeholdersCommunicate with customers through user group meetings or individual strategy meetingsSupport RFP process as neededProvide product expertise in client meetings and demos as neededAssist in creating content for marketing collateralSupport customer implementation analysis projects through requirements analysis and product recommendationsReview proposed configurations, integrations, and product customizations Provide support to ION consultants remotely or on-site if necessaryAssist technical support on complex issue resolution where subject expertise is needed to understand and reproduce issues, or when product design in questionSupport client interactions as neededRequired Skill, Experience and QualificationsIn depth knowledge of Regional Power and Renewables markets in North America is crucialExperience with Allegro CTRM or related power/energy software products in a product management, business analyst, implementation or development roleExperience working with complementary software and or integrations, such as exchanges, market data providers, and ERPsExperience in agile software development practicesIn depth knowledge of Front/middle/back-office business processesIn depth knowledge of Physical and financial derivative productsIn depth knowledge of Market standards and regulatory requirementsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to interact with external and internal customers (Sales, Account Management, Professional Services, and Development)Intrinsic desire to understand the “why” behind each problemAbility to express ideas and concerns clearly, concisely, and logicallyProficiency in personal productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vision or comparable)Understanding of technical architecture, frameworks, and databaseAbout ION Group
