Job Description SummaryThe Product Manager for GenAI at GE Vernova plays a crucial role in the development and execution of GenAI-powered products that transform business processes. This role is essential to our mission of pioneering AI-driven innovation and enhancing user experiences across the enterprise.

The Product Manager will work with across GE Vernova and with the GenAI Portfolio Manager to identify, prioritize and build out GenAI products. These products (several) focus on delivering improvements and value through the lens of the Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) framework, measuring the impact of GenAI initiatives.

Additionally, the Product Manager facilitates cross-business coordination, leveraging GenAI applications to drive operational improvements and foster innovation across Vernova. Expertise in AI, combined with strong business acumen, is pivotal in translating complex technical challenges into strategic opportunities that propel the organization forward. These duties extend to not only internally developed solutions, but also to external suppliers (e.g. 3rd party software).

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Product Ownership and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, engineering, and research, to develop and execute product roadmaps that align with strategic objectives.Roadmap input: Provide input, alongside the Portfolio manager, to build the product roadmapsTechnical Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, IT, and designers to ensure the development of robust AI solutions, maintaining technical rigor and introducing new methods for verifying success and identifying risks.User Experience: Focus on delivering exceptional user experiences by understanding and addressing user needs in AI applications.Cross-Business Coordination: Support the coordination of GenAI applications to drive improvements and innovations across Vernova.Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to measure product performance and make informed decisions. Define and monitor metrics and KPIs to ensure the success and impact of AI initiatives.Post-Launch Support: Monitor product performance post-launch, gather user feedback, and iterate on product features to enhance value delivery.3rd party solutions: Oversee the interjection of GenAI products coming from 3rd party software suppliers and determine best technology fit.

 

 

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 5-10 years' relevant experience.Experience with GE/GE Vernova highly preferred.Business Acumen: Ability to integrate business strategy with technical initiatives.Leadership: Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and projects.Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and occasionally C-Suite executives.Experience building and deploying AI applications.Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical skills to identify and solve risks and challenges.Technical Proficiency and Data-Driven MindsetMust be 18 years or olderMust be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NYLegal authorization to work in the US is required. The salary range for this position is $98,000 - $164,000 USD, annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This position will remain posted until at least February 7th, 2025.
