Job Description The Role Proofpoint is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to manage our solutions in the digital communications governance market. Our comprehensive software as a service platform enables companies to manage information according to a consistent policy, ensure litigation-relevant content is preserved and to comply with retention and supervisory regulations. Your day-to-day · Owning and defining product requirements and vision · Managing a product backlog, creating user stories and other requirements documentation · Working with engineering, QA, UX and doc teams to deliver the required solutions on schedule · Assisting product marketing to develop new sales tools, including collateral, white papers, presentations, web content, and other customer and channel communications · Supporting the sales organizations to increase their effectiveness, having direct involvement in strategic deals · Educating the sales, sales engineering, professional services and support organizations on the product as well as provisioning and management best practices · On-going primary and secondary market research, analyzing the market opportunity and competitive landscape What you bring to the team · 5+ years of product management experience in enterprise software and/or enterprise-focused cloud services · Performing primary and secondary market research in an evolutionary market where needs are not well defined · Experience in managing several enterprise software and service products through the entire life cycle from initial requirements gathering through to product release, forecasting and rollout · Ability to manage complex initiatives with limited supervision · Strong written and oral communication skills as this role will include extensive customer interaction · Strong technical skills allowing you to effectively engage in implementation conversations with the engineering team · Market understanding in messaging, compliance and/or legal discovery areas would be a bonus Why Proofpoint As a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
