Senior Product Development Engineer - Mechanical Job Description **What is the job about?** _Please be advised that we have two job openings with different levels of seniority. During the selection process, we will evaluate each candidate's suitability for the respective position accordingly._ You will ensure the given product line is well-maintained by monitoring and ensuring product compliance, quality, cost-out, and production capabilities. You will serve as the potential Point of Contact for full value chain stakeholders in the given product line, securing communication, collaboration, and effective execution toward problem-solving and product optimization. You will contribute to the business growth of Grundfos by ensuring the technical leading position of Grundfos products. You will actively participate in the SCRUM Team’s deliveries using relevant office applications (e.g., Excel, Catia, SAP) while applying your engineering skills. Additionally, you will conduct analysis to support product maintenance and development and handle day-to-day tasks that support technical documentation. Our global setup is diverse and collaborative, providing you with a unique chance to work_ _towards innovative solutions._ _If you are open-minded and enthusiastic about protecting core systems business while exploring new solutions, then you are the perfect fit!_ _Join us and be a part of a dynamic team that drives success and growth in our organization."_ Says the Hiring Manager, Ivy Zhu (Capability Manager, Systems). **Your main responsibilities** : + Act as a potential Point of Contact for a product line, monitoring and ensuring product compliance, quality, cost-out, and production capabilities. + Drive technical quality improvements, cost-out, and legalization activities for the given product line. + Demonstrate overall global technical leadership, setting direction, and making decisions on technical solutions within engineering activities. + Ensure timely information and coordination with support and manufacturing units for successful implementation of changes. + Perform product audits in manufacturing units to ensure correct use of product specifications. + Drive Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) meetings toward optimization of the given product line. + Provide specialist knowledge to the development organization by participating in quality target setting and design reviews. + Define technical specifications of components or systems. + Plan and develop technical concepts and conduct component design to meet market needs. + Drive PLM tasks towards design, quality, and cost optimization. + Participate in supplier selection and audit activities. + Prepare technical material such as product data, BOMs, and design journals. + Coach junior engineers to build their competence. + Support the Point of Contact and system engineer with other assigned tasks **Your background** : We imagine that you have: + Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Fluid Machinery major with technical knowledge in product development. + 5-8 years of relevant experience, including leading in certain technical areas. + Proficient in English, both verbal and written. + Open-minded and work as a proactive solution-oriented team player with strong sense of ownership of assigned tasks. + Flexible global travel (approximately8~30 days/yeardepends on different position) to secure facilitation across multi-region-based productions. **What’s in it for you?** Whether it’s developing leadership skills or advancing your expertise even further, we’ll support you with continuous learning and development opportunities, to help discuss and steer your long-term Grundfos career path.
