Senior Product Designer

Who we are looking for

Charles River for Private Markets is seeking a Senior Product Designer to collaborate with Product and Engineering to build new experiences that turn complex concepts and processes into simple and intuitive business outcomes for our private markets clients. The ideal candidate is curious, always seeking to challenge their own assumptions and biases, and back up their decisions with quantitative and qualitative data. In this role you will shape the future of the product, lead design on major new initiatives, and help Charles River for Private Markets, a State Street Company fulfill its mission to accelerate transparency, accuracy, and liquidity in private markets.

What you will be responsible for

As Senior Product Designer  you will

Lead a user-centered design process from concept all the way to release, measurement, and iteration that results in simple, impactful product experiences that have an impact on our metricsPartner with users, product and engineering to define and improve processes that enable us to identify problem spaces, brainstorm solutions, identify technical constraints, and ship work more efficientlyCommunicate your design work across the company to get feedback, inspire and excite, and drive forward conversations of what design excellence looks like for usContribute to the growth, organization, and maintenance of our design system and component libraryEngage directly with customers to understand their wants and needs and comfortable leading virtual and in-person workshops

Education & Preferred Qualifications

5 years of experience shipping impactful product design work; specific experience working on a fintech, data platform or BI tools a plusGreat communication skills and ability to work with people from a variety of backgroundsA collaborative approach to design executionA bias for action, and a willingness to make it work in situations where you may have more or fewer resources at your disposalA portfolio that showcases your track record and dedication to continuous improvementCan give and receive design critique effectivelyDesire to work in a high-growth environmentExperience with user research initiatives as part of product discoveryExperience working within a component library system, and a demonstrated critical eye toward system maintenance and improvementExcitement for working on a fintech product, and an understanding of how modern enterprise product design is different from legacy enterprise design.Private markets experience is a plus


Additional requirements

Ability to travel as required for client engagements (-20%), including internationally

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $142,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
