Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer located in Zhuhai.

The Sr. PDE (Product Design Engineer) is responsible for the product manufacturing feasibility evaluation, the part list generation, the 2d & 3d drawing review, the product design improvement, support the BOM setup and continuous improvement on the product.

What a typical day looks like:

Generate the part list for RFQ project, NPI project and transferring project.Generate the part list for RFQ project, NPI project and transferring project.Review Customer 2d & 3d drawings and highlight the issues about product criteria. Do dimensional tolerance stack up analysis for assembly issue’s improvement.Quick response to the engineering issues which relate to the product design and cooperate with customer for the issue’s elimination.Co-work with team members and provide improving suggestions to manufacturing for higher process yield and operation efficiency. Support lab room for the 2d drawing fully understanding for the measuring standard operation procedure (MSOP) setup.Review the dimensional reports including FAI & CPK and provide feedback for the failed dimensions.Introduce the ECN (engineering change notice) to manufacturing and check the ECN result.Work with internal design team to resolve design related issues.Other related tasks assigned by the superiors and respective functions.Coordinate with cross functions, customer and supplier to solve the engineering or quality issuesInitiate and support cost down and quality improvement activities.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Bachelor’s Degree, major in Mechanical Engineering or related equivalent.English CET4, smooth communication on the writing and reading is necessary.Experience of 5+ years in NPI (New product introduce) with plastic and metal parts in engineering.Much knowledge on the 2d drawing understanding including the measuring datum, dimensions’ chain, product section view, dimensions’ tolerances, and test criteria.At least skilled on one of the Creo / UG / Solidworks, also skilled on CADExperience on the injection tooling & molding, metal stamping, printing, painting and assembly, Skilled on the 2d & 3d drawing review, and Failure Analysis for the issues related to assembly,Effective communication with cross functions, customers and suppliersEnglish communication on written and reading is required.Sound knowledge of PPAP (Product production approval procedure).Much experience on the BOM.
