Senior Procurement Sourcing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager with strong blend of technical sourcing expertise and commercial acumen, ensuring that procurement strategies are not only aligned with business needs but also deliver value through well-structured contracts.

You will apply this approach across multiple categories, including technology, professional services, operations, and indirect spend, ensuring procurement strategies align with business objectives and enterprise goals.

Beyond technical expertise, you will play a vital role in enhancing team culture, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment where knowledge sharing, mentorship, and teamwork drive success.

Importantly, you have a strong enterprise mindset, with the ability to align procurement strategies with business objectives as well as an ability to manage and influence at senior levels.


Responsibilities:

Develop and execute right-sized sourcing strategies tailored to specific procurement initiatives, ensuring alignment with business strategies, goals, category complexities, and market conditionsExecute the end-to-end sourcing process, including market analysis, supplier engagement, RFI/P development, bid evaluation, and negotiationLead commercial negotiations whilst maintaining the highest professional and ethical standardsProvide best in class commercial advice in relation to vendor engagements and related strategy decisions, with a critical focus on analysing risk elements and total cost of ownershipDeliver sustainable and diverse Procurement through our supply chainContribute to the development of the annual sourcing planContribute to the optimisation of procurement processes and systems to improve speed, scale, user experience and resilience Ensure risk management is top of mind when conducting activities

Well-versed in Strategic Sourcing methodologies, Category Planning, Supplier Relationship ManagementResults-oriented and self-motivated with an enterprise mindset and strong commercial acumenDemonstrated competencies relating to commercial aspects of a contract, understanding contract structures, terms and conditionsStrong ability to work collaboratively within and across teamsExcellent presentation and influencing skillsPragmatic approach with multitasking capabilitiesStrong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skillsStrong project implementation, coordination and financial analysis skills preferredPrevious experience of successfully operating and influencing in a matrix management structure within a global or large corporate environment is desirableExperience in the Financial Sector would be viewed favourably but is not essential as proven strategic sourcing experience, preferably Technology, Corporate Services or similar spend categories is also a good fitExperience in delivering supply chain diversity would be viewed favourably as well as a desire to deliver social change through your profession


For the right candidate, this role can be elevated to a leadership role, leading and developing a high-performing sourcing team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian or New Zealand PR/Citizenship or working rights or who can show they currently have unrestricted work rights in Australia with no limitations.
