Senior Process Engineer
Job Title: Senior Process EngineerJob Description As a Senior Process Engineer, you will lead and conduct process development activities, including process design and specifications, heat and mass balance, process scale-up and commissioning, technical risk assessments, and creating and maintaining accurate consumer-centric process specifications. You will be responsible for writing technical reports, managing stakeholders, making recommendations, and influencing decisions based on data analysis and interpretation. Responsibilities + Work in teams and independently with appropriate guidance. + Prioritize and manage activities effectively. + Identify problems proactively and implement solutions. + Apply fundamental technical understanding to interpret and analyze data, reaching clear conclusions using tools such as Minitab or Jump. + Communicate technical information effectively both verbally and in writing. + Demonstrate technical curiosity, continuous learning, and a drive to ensure technical rigor. Essential Skills + Process engineering + Process design + Scale-up + Commissioning + Technical risk assessment + Cake and pastry engineering experience + Leadership in idea to trial execution + Technical risk communication to cross-functional partners + Product quality and consumer needs + Process improvement + Continuous improvement Additional Skills & Qualifications + Minimum 4 years of experience in an industrial scale cakes and pastries engineering environment, including soft cakes, cupcakes, brownies, muffins, croissants, and packaging. + Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. Work Environment This is an R&D Senior Process Engineer position located in East Hanover, NJ. The site has approximately 400 employees, most of whom work a hybrid schedule, with labs open 5 days a week. The dress code is business casual. Typical working hours are 9-5 EST, although trials may require flexibility. Travel may be up to 25%. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
