The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Experience

Eight or more years of software engineering experienceStrong background in business operations and strategies, including global technology and financial services trendsHands-on involvement with layered systems architectures, designs and shared software concepts Familiarity with functional and system integration testingExperience working in an agile environment

Qualified candidates will be proficient in:

AWS cloud native services including: Lambda, Fargate, EKS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, SQS/SNSEvent-driven architectureNode/TypeScript and/or Spring Boot/JavaMentoring others to build top engineering capabilities

Skills

Excellent negotiation, facilitation and consensus-building capabilitiesOpenness and adaptability to respond to fast-moving circumstancesProficiency in multiple object-oriented programming languages and toolsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAptitude for working in teams

Knowledge

In-depth knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies, architectural concepts and principlesA deep understanding of layered solutions and designsAwareness of policies regarding security and privacyUnderstanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics and incremental delivery

Education

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience About Us
