As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase and Co within the Asset Management Architecture function, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes. We are looking for an experienced Architect with strong Investment Management and Domain Architecture expertise to join this function, extend the team and drive thought leadership across a variety of major cross-cutting initiatives.  This role will be based in India (Bengaluru or Mumbai), reflecting the importance of having a close working relationship with business and technology partners in the region.

Job responsibilities

Advises and leads on strategy and development of multiple products, applications, and technologies across the Asset Management portfolio Translates highly complex technical issues, trends, and approaches to leadership to drive the firm’s innovation and enable leaders to make strategic, well-informed decisions about target state architecture Drives adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies Drives adoption and implementation of data architecture specifications in technology solutions Establishes and leads an architecture governance body Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and expert applied experience Deep Asset Management experience working across Fixed Income, Equities, and Multi-Asset asset classes Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Expertise in one or more programming language(s) Deep knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives Practical cloud native experience
