The Senior Principal for Mission Analysis guides and performs the planning and execution of work to develop, analyze, and assess complex, multi-domain system-of-systems solutions in the context of complex, multi-domain warfighting and intelligence missions and mission scenarios. The goal in order to achieve LM’s vision for 21st Century Security through OneLM Mission Integration – from LM corporate, through Space and the other business areas, and across the Space LoBs, MSACs, E&T, Ignite, and Product Centers These missions and mission scenarios include including air moving target engagement at scale, space control & multi-domain operations, space-enabled long-range fires, and homeland defense. The system-of-systems include the space and missile systems of the Space business area such as satellites, satellite constellations, missiles, missile launchers, operations centers, etc. as well as the weapons, platforms, and systems of other LM business areas. The activities include programs, captures, studies, projects, campaigns, executive steering groups, etc. at multiple security levels from unclassified, to SCI, SAP, and combined SAP/SCI. The work includes analysis and assessment of current and emerging missions, threats, environments, scenarios, campaigns, operations, architectures, intelligence problems, orders of battle, capabilities, supply chains, etc. in terms of mission value, cost, schedule, risk, and performance (efficacy, resiliency, suitability, interoperability, etc.).
• Guides and performs planning and execution of mission and system-of-systems analysis and assessment work on all activities of the $12B Space business area.
• Assimilates results into compelling written, verbal, and visual narratives that convey mission and business value, and anticipates potential questions, concerns, and/or biases of clients and stakeholders.
• Proactively supports Space LoBs, Capture Excellence, MSACs, Ignite, and Product Centers with analysis and assessment of missions and system-of-systems.
• Proactively collaborates with counterparts in other business areas and corporate in the planning and execution of mission and system-of-system analysis and assessments.
• Reviews, evaluates, and analyzes data across product lines, lines of business, and business areas.
• Focuses on deriving solutions that are compatible with and contribute to long-range kill chains and joint all domain operations.
• Functions as liaison between business development, line of business program management, industry, and Government to gain an in-depth understanding of critical requirements and drive holistic solutions.
• Applies field knowledge and data analysis to bridge the gap between business, technology, and customer needs.
• Develops clear and concise assessments to guide business decisions and strategy.
• Participates in the central development of requirements and implementation of innovative solutions for operational and strategic changes in business and industry.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics)
• 8+ years of experience identifying, defining, developing, assessing, and demonstrating integrated mission solutions spanning air, space, maritime, and land domains.
• 4+ years of experience leading the planning and execution of identifying, defining, developing, assessing, and demonstrating integrated mission solutions spanning air, space, maritime, and land domains.
• 20+ years of experience in modeling and simulation areas, including aircraft/spacecraft controls and flight/orbital dynamics
• Demonstrated experience communicating compelling written, verbal, and visual narratives that convey mission and business value to senior executives.
• Demonstrated experience proactively developing and maintaining effective relationships and partnerships with colleagues and senior executives.
• Demonstrated technical expertise and proficiency in the leading software packages used in the industry for structural dynamics, mission analysis, and simulation
• Demonstrated experience leading teams or serving as a technical expert in structural dynamics and mission analysis
• Demonstrated experience working in the aerospace and defense field, with a focus on mission analysis and simulation
• Key Skills:
o Structural dynamics analysis and simulation
o Mission analysis and simulation (end-to-end)
o Space vehicle controls and payload mission analysis
o Optimization algorithms and parametric evaluation
o Programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink)
o Experience with design loads, modal characterization, and on-orbit controls analysis
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET/SCI clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

• Master’s degree in engineering
• Demonstrated experience proactively developing and maintaining effective relationships and partnerships with colleagues and senior executives across functions, programs, business areas, industry, and government.
• Recognized as an authority in mission and system-of-systems architectures, with the demonstrated ability to apply it to a wide range of sophisticated problems, and capacity train others in its application.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $173,500 - $305,900. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
