The Senior Pricing Analyst will support revenue and operating income goals through price attainment for the Clinical Trials Development (CTD) within Thermo Fisher Scientific. Establish harmonized price standards, strategies, and performance. Foster organizational capabilities and convey key pricing insights and recommendations to Business Leadership and other relevant partners.
Key Responsibilities:Provide subject matter expertise to CTD and commercial teams on pricing strategy and implementation.Support the development and refinement of tools, internal pricing systems, policies, and procedures that enhance existing performance.Identify, validate, and quantify new pricing improvement opportunities across the entire product and service portfolio. Track and manage the progress toward substantiating the improvement opportunities in the pipelineProvide analysis and technical support for pricing initiatives that include setting list prices, determine customer specific discounts and identify promotion opportunitiesDetermine positioning and strategies to optimize price and value for new products. Work closely with marketing, product management and finance teams to determine optimal launch priceRegularly articulate and reinforce pricing strategies throughout the organizationSupport commercial teams on implement strategies and tactics for price attainmentIdentify, validate, and implement opportunities for sales performance improvementsMaintain strong communication with business partners and key customers within CTD and commercial teamsSupport and lead Internal Improvement Initiatives as related to CTD pricingPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, statistics, economics or data science field. An advanced degree in business or science is preferred.5+ years of work experience in related fieldExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including data handling and experience of using SQL, Excel, and/or Python/R, and other relational database skills.Strong commercial orientation with a balance of pricing and strategic business management capabilities. A passion for understanding pricing strategies and execution methodologies in a distribution businessAbility to work cross-functionally and effectively to influence business partners. Must relate well to all kinds of people, listens and builds constructive relationships. Shows creativity and innovation in presenting ideasA person who can think strategically and solve problems; pays attention to details, is organized, and approaches things analytically. Has the ability to handle multiple projects at the same timeAbility to drive projects and activities to successful conclusion, operating with a high sense of urgency; Demonstrated ability to operate independently with broad general guidance against a framework of defined business objectivesPrior experience working in large corporate environment or a diversified, complex organization is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable operating within a matrix structure.Ability to travel (10%)
