Senior PR and Communications Manager - ASEAN
The Red Hat APAC Communications team is looking for a PR and Communications Manager to support the ASEAN region (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand) to join us in Singapore. In this role, you'll assist with the coordination and roll out of various communication activities to create awareness of our company, product and solution offerings and customer success stories. You will be the connector between internal stakeholders and the external agencies. As part of this role, you will work closely with the field marketing team in ASEAN and also work in collaboration with the Asia Pacific (APAC) Marketing, Sales teams, and PR agencies. You will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver exceptional work on message, on brand, and on time. **What will you do:** + Responsible for developing and executing a sustainable ASEAN PR/media strategy aligned to country business, and marketing goals. + Work with PR agency, APAC Comms team and Regional Country Marketing Managers in ASEAN to support in country PR activities and customer reference stories. + Manage the local PR agency and drive day-to-day PR activities, measuring results against goals for all campaigns and programs. + Work with PR agency to develop messaging for showcasing thought leadership opportunities such as - press releases, bylines, interviews and local announcements. + Manage the communications updates and postings for high-profile corporate events, like Red Hat Summit, Red Hat Summit Connect and C-Level Events. + Work with the local marketing team, local leadership team, cross-functional country teams and customers / partners to explore thought leadership positioning opportunities for Red Hat in ASEAN. + Collaborate with teams and manage multiple, simultaneous projects in a timely manner with additional duties to be assigned as required. **What will you bring:** + 10+ years of public relations/communications experience, ideally in a multinational, technology company or supported regional technology accounts at a PR agency. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. + Strong understanding of B2B and relevant industry topics (such as: cloud computing, AI, virtualization, automation, FSI, telco, public sector et al.). + Experience managing a PR agency team or worked at a PR agency preferred. + Self-driven strategic thinker capable of collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders in ASEAN, Asia-Pacific and globally. + Ability to work collaboratively with senior executives and multiple stakeholders across a highly matrixed, global organization. + A self motivated, problem solver who has the ability to independently manage projects. + Experience in social media or executive communications experience is a plus. + Ability to work on your own as well as in a project team. + Bachelor’s degree or higher in public relations, journalism, communications or similar field preferred. **About Red Hat** Red Hat (https://www.redhat.com/) is the world’s leading provider of enterprise open source (https://www.redhat.com/en/about/open-source) software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
