Supporting USCENTCOM’s mission to become a data-centric organization. This role involves building and managing applications using Canvas and Model-Driven apps in Power Platform, facilitating process automation, enhancing user experience, and enabling data-driven decision-making. You will work within an Agile framework and collaborate closely with the USCENTCOM J6 team to create scalable and robust applications that streamline operations and promote insights-driven strategies. We are seeking a **Senior Power Platform Developer** to support application development, Citizen Development training, and process automation in support of the USCENTCOM J6 team. This role focuses on designing, building, and deploying Canvas and Model-Driven apps that empower users across USCENTCOM to access critical information and workflows. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders to understand operational needs, create custom applications, and ensure efficient integration with other systems. Duties and Responsibilities: + Develop and Deploy Canvas and Model-Driven Apps: Design and build customized applications using Power Apps, tailoring solutions that align with USCENTCOM’s operational requirements and data accessibility needs. + Collaborate with Data and IT Teams: Work alongside data analysts, data engineers, and IT specialists to align app functionalities with data strategies, ensuring applications are seamlessly integrated with USCENTCOM’s data platforms. + Automate Workflows and Enhance Processes: Utilize Power Automate to streamline processes, automating repetitive tasks, and enhancing the efficiency of data-driven workflows across various departments. + Provide Expertise in Power Platform Governance and Security: Implement Power Platform governance best practices to maintain application security, data integrity, and compliance with USCENTCOM’s IT policies. + Support Data Visualization and Insights: Develop embedded Power BI dashboards and reports within applications to deliver real-time data insights and support informed decision-making. + Collaborate with Stakeholders: Regularly engage with USCENTCOM stakeholders, interpreting business needs, gathering requirements, and translating them into functional app solutions that meet operational demands. + Maintain and Enhance Existing Power Platform Solutions: Troubleshoot, update, and refine Power Platform applications as needed, ensuring they continue to meet evolving operational requirements. **Education & Experience:** + **Qualifications** : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and minimum of 3 years of experience in application development, particularly with Power Platform. Or at least 5 years of experience in application development, SharePoint, or any Data/IT field. + Required: a DoD directive 8140 related cert. **Required Skills:** + Proficient in building and deploying Canvas and Model-Driven apps within Power Platform. + Experience with Power Automate for workflow automation and ETL for data visualizations. + Strong understanding of data integration and API usage in Power Platform applications. + Proven ability to provide technical briefings to senior military or government officials. + Knowledge of application lifecycle management (ALM) within Power Platform. **Desired Skills:** + Demonstrated experience with the DoD’s Data Strategy and integration within secure networks. + Power Platform and Azure certifications (e.g., PL-900, PL-400, Azure Fundamentals). + Understanding of data governance, compliance, and secure application development within a DoD environment. + Familiarity with USCENTCOM’s mission and operational data management needs. **Clearance Requirement: Active SECRET clearance is required. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
