What this job involves:

Due to our business growth in WA JLL is now seeking a Senior Portfolio Accountant to work across a portfolio, and help with overall finance function at WA head office within our Client Accounting Services Group.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Australia’s leading property companies. Your key focus will be assisting in the financial control of a portfolio of properties for our clients. Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with JLL Property Manager as the key finance business partner and maintain financial information in MRI.Comply with all relevant Trust Accounting and Property Accounting policies and procedures inclusive of any client specific policies.Lead and participate in monthly finance training sessions. Deliver a set of financial reports for a portfolio of assets.Liaise with property managers for month end reporting, including variance commentary to budget.Prepare and process journal entries.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare IFRS rent smoothing and incentive amortizations journals.Perform annual tenant outgoing recovery reconciliations and liaise with outgoings auditors as required. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.Reconcile GST reports. Raise monthly management feesProcess client remittances and funds request as neededReview all purchase orders > 3 months for validityManage capex expenditure and track against budgetTransition new properties into the portfolio and process cease management of properties at relevant times. Ensure JLL’s internal compliance process and procedures are adhered to, including preparation of 6 monthly internal audit checklistsLiaise with the client regarding information flow around annual audits.Monthly Bank reconciliation and recording of receiptsAssist in allocation of overpayment and EFT rental payment from tenant.


Interested?  An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications:

You've got commercial and retail accounting experience, ideally gained within property management accounting.

You're a great communicator and your skills will enable you to liaise with all relevant stakeholders including clients, property managers, leasing executives and senior management.

As a bonus, you'll also have exposure to our asset management software and financial management software – MRI and Peoplesoft.
