Your role and responsibilities

ABB's solutions for excitation are part of a comprehensive suite of automation, electrical, rotating machine control, motors and generators that combine 125+ years of engineering experience and thousands of installations around the world.Working model: hybrid #Li-hybrid Your responsibilities: • Prepare NPI (New Product Introduction) project plans, identify the resources requirement and evaluate financials for PCB & PCBA NPI projects• Drive implementation of new products and engineering changes at EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) including FAI (First Article Inspection), ensure effective execution of projects according to required procedures and timelines• Work with Design Engineers and assist in transition of design prototypes into cost efficient products• Analyze and recommend improvements to the production process and methods, as well to the products, to facilitate cost reduction and quality improvement.• Act as technical support during supplier selection and supplier audits; act as an interface between R&D and EMS suppliers; manage the product transfers between EMS suppliers• Willing to travel to EMS and PCB shops. Support qualification• Conduct an analysis of field returns and provide support to R&D in order to clarify and improve the EMS.• The role requires 10-20% travel

Qualifications for the role

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering discipline with minimum 3 years of experience, ideally as PCBA Process EngineerStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes (SMT, THT, Conformal Coating) and box building ideally from working at an EMSExperience in power, digital and mixed technology electronicsKnowledge in New Product Introduction and Product Life Cycle Management process.Superior problem-solving skills: issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, and developing recommendation for an efficient resolutionProject management and facilitation skillsOutstanding communication skills in English, both written and spoken
