This position works out of our St. Paul, MN office in the CHR Corporate Human Resources division.
The Senior Payroll Tax Analyst performs a variety of complex weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual duties at a high level of competence, confidence and creditability. Assumes a supportive role to all levels of leadership internally and externally to the payroll department.
What You’ll Work On
Analyzing data and preparing reports for business usersReconcile accounts, balancing & initiating bank funding, reconciling benefit funding each pay periodPreformed monthly, quarterly, annual tax reports and reconciliationsWorks under minimal supervision. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment, overall adequacy, and accuracy.Plans, organizes, and prioritizes own daily work routine to meet established schedule.Assumes a leadership role in training and mentoring less experienced staffExercises authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate action.Requires high levels of competence, confidence, and creditabilityInteractions are frequently with all management levelsAs such, after hours activities may be required during a crisis or emergency situationAssist upper management, and other workstream management when current manager is unavailableAttend meetings as a representative of specific workflow when senior management is unavailableWork with internal and external auditorsRequired Qualifications

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
