Senior Payroll Administrator
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full payroll function for a diverse workforce Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, benefits, and deductions Administer and ensure compliance with tax calculations, UIF, and other statutory contributions Prepare monthly payroll reports and reconciliations. Handle payroll-related queries from employees and management Stay up-to-date with all legislative changes affecting payroll Ensure that payroll data is kept confidential and secure Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accuracy Maintain and update payroll records and employee files Perform month-end and year-end payroll processes Requirements:
A relevant degree in Accounting or Human Resources A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity. Strong knowledge of South African payroll and tax legislation (PAYE, UIF, SDL) Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage, VIP, or similar). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees and management
