Senior Operations Manager

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for a full operational shift in one of our three Distribution Centers. You will hold responsibility for processing of all in & outbound shipments for all channels, to include Wholesale, Retail, E-com and Concession. You are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment and must be a dynamic, hands-on leader who interacts effectively with all employees. The successful candidate must possess refined skills to lead multiple operations departments and have experience in project management and creative problem solving. You provide direction and assistance to managerial and supervisory levels regarding staffing requirements, productivity standards, accuracy, and service levels.

The Senior Operations Manager must demonstrate strong supervisory skills, integrity, and professionalism. You are responsible for maintaining a fair and consistent employee disciplinary program through the use of productivity reporting. You will  ensure that employee observations are completed in a timely manner and provide thorough training for new hires and temporary staffing, as well as cross-training as needed. You will initiate and complete cross-training in key positions to cover volume spikes, absenteeism, and vacations.

\nThe Senior Manager of Operations provides daily, weekly, and monthly Key Performance Indicator summaries to their Director or Senior Director and has the ability to analyze KPIs and initiate efficiencies to improve service levels and reduce costs. You will  mentor and prepare direct reports for expanded roles and are able to prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment. You must have proven leadership and effectively communicate across all functions and levels of the distribution center and, as necessary, with business partners in NY and Germany. You will have demonstrated skills to oversee multiple departments and lead a team of leaders with responsibility for all shift departments and activities.

\n\n\n\tMaintain safe and secure work environment at all times\n\tMust be a dynamic, hands-on leader who interacts effectively and routinely with all direct and indirect employees\n\tEffective communicator across all functions and levels of the distribution center and with business partners in NY and Germany\n\tPossess refined skills to be a leader of leaders of several operations departments\n\tProject management and creative problem-solving experiences will serve the incumbent well\n\tMaintain established internal processing service windows \n\tAnalyze/create reporting to ensure all Service Level Agreements and KPIs are met\n\tIdentifies, collects, organizes and analyzes information to ensure smooth production operations. Develops measurement systems and identifies areas for improvement. \n\tLeads management team in developing processes and plans for operational improvement. Works to ensure employee development. Your profile:

\n\tBachelor’s degree in operations management, Industrial Management, or Logistics is preferred\n\t5-7 years management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment\n\tSchedule flexibility\n\tAvailability and willingness to work any shift, as needed\n\tStrong management skills with a history of success\n\tEffective oral and written communication skills; Great team-building skills and impeccable integrity  \n\tFlexible; Able to prioritize multiple initiatives/tasks with a strict focus on deadlines; keen sense of urgency\n\tStrong technical and analytical experience with Microsoft Office: Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, One Note\n\tWorking experience with SAP\n\tWell versed in ISO Standards; APICS Certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus
