Senior Operations Associate

This role is responsible for all aspects of incoming and outgoing merchandise and ensures timely and accurate preparation of shipments as well as receipts from all Tiffany & Co. internal and external partners. This role will also support the responsibilities of physical and systematic receiving and issuing of gemstones and pearls and provide Inventory Control support for Gemstone Acquisition Buying, Grading and Planning teams. This position may support additional projects and responsibilities deemed necessary to support departmental goals.
**Key Accountabilities**
Inbound & Outbound Shipment
+ Responsible for ensuring timely receipt of all incoming merchandise, supplies and equipment.
+ Verify and feel for each incoming shipment and breakdown packaging. Perform pricing verification for Third Party memos.
+ Distribute and/or deliver all packages to the appropriate individual(s)/department(s) including cross functional teams within and outside the immediate department.
+ Responsible for the timely shipment of internal & external outbound shipments of merchandise, supplies and equipment
+ Verify all shipping documentation is in accordance with Courier, International Customs and Tiffany & Co. policies and procedures.
+ Monitor In-transit report and coordinate with business partners to process aging receipt of shipments. Escalate to management when necessary.
+ Manage and maintain all shipping supplies. As needed, coordinate with Senior Analyst for order placement through Coupa
Stone Processing & Supply
+ Receive physically and process systematically all incoming stone deliveries within established timeframe of receipt. Ensure stones are moved physically and systematically in accordance with company and departmental SOP (Standard Operational Procedure).
+ Complete the systematic transfer of ownership from in-process to Tiffany owned merchandise.
+ Ensure work orders are selected, filled, issued and transferred to Internal Manufacturing and Virtual Vendors on a timely basis.
Record Maintenance
+ Ensure incoming & outgoing paperwork complies with and includes the following statements where applicable:
+ Kimberley Statement & Synthetic Statement
+ Warranty Statement
+ VAT Tax Statement (Belgium)
+ Maintain all shipment inbound and outbound internal log sheets in accordance with Audit requirements & established TCO procedures.
+ Document all shipment records. Maintain records and the filing system in accordance with the Record Retention Policy. As requested, resolve and answer all inquiries or discrepancies regarding shipments.
Inventory Management
+ Maintain inventory in the proper stocking locations, filing stock away appropriately.
+ Perform Cycle counts, High Value counts, review transaction history to ensure accuracy. Perform secondary counts as needed when discrepancies occur.
General Operations
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives through the identification of process improvements and communicate suggestions to management.
+ As requested, assist with various projects and tasks associated with business initiatives.
+ Adhere to all Tiffany & Co. workplace policies and procedures. Ensure that all safety measures and guidelines are followed.
Complies with safety and security operating procedures as described by the manager and through safety training programs. Reports safety and security-related observations and incidents to the manager.
**Required Qualifications**
+ 2-5 years of experience in Operations, Logistics, Inventory Management or Supply Chain
+ Ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasks
+ Strong verbal and written English communication skills
+ Strong orientation to customer service and/or related work experience
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office
+ Ability to translate goals into clear workable action plans
+ Self-motivated, proactive and solution oriented, willing to work overtime as needed
+ Experience handling sensitive and proprietary information, adherence to policies & procedures including but not limited to - safety, confidentiality, security
+ Must be flexible and willing to change responsibilities within the Department
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Undergraduate College Degree
+ Experience with J.D Edwards
+ Knowledge of Diamond Industry
+ Experience handling melee stones (sorting, weighing and picking)
**Location:** This position requires you to work onsite at our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY.
The hiring range for this position ranges from $25.25 - $30.00 per hour. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
