OPENTEXT SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Salary – $160,000 to $180,000 annually plus benefits. Commensurate with experience.
Start date- April 7th
Clearance – Active Top Secret DoD
Certification - IAT-II
Remote, with a quarterly meeting at one of the below sites, depending on home location: Columbus and Dayton, Ohio; Battle Creek, Michigan; Philadelphia and New Cumberland, Pennsylvania; Fort Belvoir and Richmond, Virginia; Ogden, Utah
ALTA IT Services has a direct hire opening for 3 Senior OpenText Systems Engineers to support our client in the defense sector. The ideal candidate will be proficient at developing technical solutions for large-scale OpenText Content Server, hardware, software, and complex interfaces.
RESPONSIBILITIES Identifies technical standards. Develops system requirements and program specifications for complex OpenText solutions. Integrates Content Server, App Works, Intelligent Capture, Ready™ Series, and other required products for specialized functions with functional requirements to optimize solutions for the customer. Designs, plans, and coordinates work within the teams. Provides technical support to project team members. Handles complex application features and technical designs and architects an end-to-end solution that will meet the business requirements. Designs and implements the components required for complex application features. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist. Ensures the stable operation of the in-house OpenText, associated software systems, and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links. Analyzes and resolves end-user software program and connectivity issues. Provides end-user training. Provides recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision. Will be required to provide both local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location. Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications. Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load-balancing applications and ensuring fault tolerance. Performs vulnerability management.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Ten (10) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, six of which are
specialized in concentrated, hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with OpenText software. Six (6) years of experience in OpenText systems containing PII, PHI, and HIPAA information in a
multi-tenant Government environment.
SECURITY/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Active Top-secret clearance IA Level: IAT-II OpenText Content Server System Administrator Certification
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, ten of which are specialized in concentrated, hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with OpenText software. Ten (10) years of experience in OpenText systems containing PII, PHI, and HIPAA information in a multi-tenant Government environment.
