Meet the team

SAP is looking for candidates to fill the role of Senior Technology Legal Compliance (TLC) Analyst. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about software quality and compliance – ideal candidates will possess a strong background in software development, and have practical experience with code scanning tools typically used for security vulnerability analysis and/or license risk analysis, etc.

 

Using your real-world experience, you will act as a key contributor to the company’s Global Technology Legal Compliance group, helping other colleagues learn and employ SAP’s 3rd party intellectual property management tools and processes. Your team will be principally involved in monitoring and controlling open source intake across SAP by executing code audits, and you will serve as an experienced technical resource and mentor.

 

What you will do:

Leading the execution of software audits – execute and guide others in the evaluation of software packages using SAP’s scanning / auditing tools. Review of open source license information, specifically regarding technical requirements or technical implementation obligations stated in either the license text or other license relevant documentation/files. All necessary training will be provided for qualified candidates. (e.g. Well qualified candidates who may not otherwise have deep hands-on experience with scan tools will be trained accordingly.)

What you should bring:

5+ years of software development experience Technical competence with multiple programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, etc. Demonstrated experience with automated build tools, version control systems, and artifact repositories such as Jenkins, Git, Perforce, Docker, Maven, and Gradle Familiarity with cloud deployment methods and tools: Docker Server/Kubernetes Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with diverse/cross-functional teams

What could be a plus:

Candidates who have actively participated in using and contributing to open source software projects are highly desired. Experience with Open Source Software Analysis and related projects or programs (for security or compliance) Previous experience using Software Composition Analysis tools such as BlackDuck, Mend, FOSSology, or other is highly desired. Working knowledge of Open Source and the business benefits/risks stemming from its use would be highly desired. B.S. (degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
