Job description:

Purpose

Manages the development, maintenance and governance of network solutions across the organization, and makes sure they meet the current and emerging strategic needs of the business.  The IT Enterprise Architect analyses the organization’s current systems and develops recommendations that reduce costs or increase productivity.  The individual is a skilled change agent who is able to evaluate new technologies and to work closely in consultation with key stakeholders at group, region and site to lead the move towards it.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership to the process business system requirements/ needs identification processCreate short term and long-term technology roadmaps based on understanding of organization strategic requirements, technology context and business needsPerform use requirements gathering approaches (e.g. interviews and business process documentation) to elicit and document requirementsProvide expert guidance on IT solutions and suppliers (make or buy) that meet business and user needEvaluate technology strategy, organization, business applications, and infrastructure.Advise on enterprise architecture landscape, including technology, information, data, security, and integrationImplement large-scale, innovative IT solutions to drive business transformation.Evaluate and identify IT related risks.Develop technology strategy and planning deliverables to address IT risks and improve the effectiveness of the IT organization, especially in business application integration.Produce target-state solution architecture and perform assessments and gap analysis.Manage the relationship with all stakeholders to ensure that the solution is in line with business requirementsCustodian and drives site enterprise architecture, architecture governance and architecture practice groupProvide expertise to help solve complex technical problems and ensure best architecture solutions are implementedIdentify change requirements and the components involved: hardware, software, applications, processes, information and technology platform.Define strategies to implement industry 4.0 technologies compliant with business need taking into account interoperability, scalability, usability and security, current technology platform, obsolescent equipment and latest technological innovationsMaintain alignment between business evolution and technology developments.Integrate hardware, software or sub system components into an existing or a new systemComply with established processes and procedures such as, configuration management and package maintenanceTake into account the compatibility of existing and new modules to ensure system integrity, system interoperability and information securityVerify and test system capacity and performance and documentation of successful integrationProvide advice, assistance and leadership associated with the planning, design and improvement of technologiesComply with appropriate standards and change control procedures to maintain integrity of the overall system functionality and reliabilityInvestigate the latest ICT technological developments to establish understanding of evolving technologiesDevise innovative solutions for integration of new technology into existing products, applications or services or for the creation of new solutionsCommunication and knowledge sharing with other teams on latest technologies and approaches

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systemsMasters will be an added Advantage.

Experience

Minimum 7 years related experience in network engineering or architectureFamiliar with Zachman framework, TOGAF, FEAF, UAF or Gartner EA FrameworksFamiliar with enterprise architecture tools such as LeanIX EAM, Erwin, Planview, BiZZdesign Enterprise StudioMember of ICTAZ or EIZ
