Azenta Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to manage, monitor, maintain, document, install / configure its enterprise LAN/WAN/VPN. This position will play a key role in corporate initiatives to maintain a robust, modern global network at Azenta. Works on multifaceted problems that always require new and creative thinking.

What You’ll Do…

Providing production support, architecture, life-cycle management, configuration and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks and network appliances and systems in a global enterprise environment.Completing documentation and cross-trainingWorking with other teams to resolve issues and deliver solutionsResponding to network-related incidents, service requests and project tasksResponsible for planning, ordering, and implementation of LAN/WAN/Wireless equipmentUtilizes knowledge to monitor, and troubleshoot to resolve requests, problems and outages in a timely and effective manner with assistance from vendors and in-house resources; guides and mentors other members of IT organizationProviding solid understanding of secure network architectureWorking with Cisco & Meraki products and installing, configuring, and maintaining routers/switchesWorking with Palo Alto products and installing, configuring, and maintaining firewallsWorking with AWS - VPN, VPC, Route53, Security GroupsBuilding, upgrading, and configuring new and existing system componentsProviding technical documentation for solutions (Diagrams, Test Plans, Requirements)Work with outside vendors to planning and installations of data/voice communication networks

What you will Bring…

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or certificationsMinimum 6-8+ years of relevant in-depth technical knowledge in areas related to platform specific systems and/or network operationsExperience in LAN/WAN, SDWAN, VLAN, EIGRP, OSPF, VPN’s, MPLS, NAT, QOS and SSLExperience in supporting an enterprise infrastructureExperience with configuring and supporting enterprise grade network equipment (routers, switches, wireless, firewalls)Experienced troubleshooting skillsAbility to work effectively with personnel on all levels

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Technical Certifications (ex. CCNP, CCDA, PCNSA, PCNSE)Experience with Network Performance Monitoring ToolsExperience in Project ManagementExperience and Technical Expertise with:Cisco Networking Equipment (CatOS, IOS)Meraki Networking Equipment (Switches, Wireless, Firewalls)Firewalls (Palo Alto)VPN (Palo Alto Global Protect)Connectivity / Configuration of Networking in AWSDNS / DHCP6-8+ years’ experience in network design, deployment, configuration and troubleshootingStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to adapt in growing & dynamic environments

Working Conditions/ Schedule

Site-based role in one of our main US sites (South Plainfield, NJ, Burlington, MA, or Indianapolis, IN) with a hybrid work scheduleMay be asked to travel occasionally (anticipated to be around 20%)
