Job Description

*DNP* *CBD* ZF North America Inc. has a job openings (multiple) for the position of Sr. Network Analyst-Wide Area Network (WAN) based out of its location in Northville, MI.

Job Duties:  Responsible for the advanced development, design, and implementation of network solutions and systems as they relate to the global WAN; Support and fulfill the requirements of internal and external customers worldwide; Serve as a Senior Technical team member for Wide Area Networks (WAN) responsible for the support of 400+ sites globally; Evaluate, propose, architect, and implement new solutions, in addition to providing day-to-day technical guidance regarding existing solutions for the WAN team within the global network team (FIII5); Serve as a technical escalation point for third-level support and for services provided by the global network team (FIII5); Leadership of the evaluation, site design, implement and operate global WAN standards; Operational support of hardware and software installation/deployment regarding Network services in challenging high-pressure situations; Escalation point for work and support of frequently changing and challenging IT projects to support our customer needs; Work together with other internal teammates and external vendors to support our environment; Lead in future development of the network, e.g. software defined network; Provide regular customer follow-up and feedback regarding on-going projects and network solutions; Research and propose new network solutions to fit the needs of internal and/or external customers; Develop working relationships with internal and external business partners; Adhere to and ensure compliance with ZF standard processes, procedures, and systems; Participate in continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts; Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies; and Perform other duties as assigned. A hybrid (in-office and telecommute) work schedule is available. Position requires up to 15% travel to domestic and international locations for technical and architecture meetings, as well as to company sites for troubleshooting issues.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related field, plus 5 years of experience as a network and infrastructure administrator, and demonstrated experience with: WAN technologies, including MPLS, Point 2 Point Encryption, Software Defined WAN, DIA, and direct connectivity with Cloud Providers; Global WAN providers to design architecture and solutions to meet production requirements; TCP/IP and the OSI model; Measurement, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network traffic using command line interfaces management and KPI tools; Automation using Python, GIT, and Ansible; Node manager to manage and monitor existing productive environment; Juniper routers and switches, including EX, QFX, and MX; and Cisco and Fortinet Firewalls.
