Parsons is now hiring an experienced **Senior Municipal Designer** with a desire to work on design and construction projects that change the fabric of our communities. We need our designers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be performing at a **Senior Municipal Designer** level providing expertise on Parsons’ projects including the study, planning, preliminary, and detailed design of municipal infrastructure. Projects may include water, sanitary and stormwater linear systems and pump stations, municipal roads, complete streets and multi-use pathways, either as standalone projects or part of larger programs. The candidate will perform some or all of the following responsibilities which may vary by project: + Be actively engaged in the design of projects, including leading the design of some aspects; + Produce conceptual and detailed CAD drawings and demonstrate proficiency and design experience in the following areas: municipal roads, underground linear infrastructure including water, sanitary, storm systems, grading and drainage, culverts, and upgrading of existing facilities; + Prepare contract quantities and cost estimates; + Prepare construction specifications and assist with preparation of contract documents as well as assist in the preparation of proposals; + Interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures; + Work to project schedules while ensuring quality of project deliverables; + Assist with coordination of CAD and design requirements with other departments or offices, as required, when working on joint (multi-disciplinary) projects; The successful candidate will have: + 5-10 years of municipal infrastructure CAD/design experience + Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology + CET/C.Tech designation is an asset + Strong attention to detail **Minimum Clearance Required to Start:** Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
