Senior Motion Graphics Designer/Video Editor

We’re looking for a talented Senior Motion Graphics Designer to join our in-house video and audio production team and lead our efforts in creating animations and motion assets for videos, marketing and interactive experiences. In this role, you’ll develop motion design projects from concept to delivery, putting our brand in motion, and will collaborate closely with our creative team and other communication and marketing leaders across the company in a variety of roles and capacities – with a primary focus on motion graphics.

The Role

Your ability to expertly apply the principles of motion to our video, marketing and interactive experiences will enhance engagement, reinforce our brand and delight our audiences.  You'll conceptualize and create high-quality animations and motion assets for video, marketing and interactive experiences and add motion to our brand assets to take them to the next level. You'll guide projects through the entire production process, from initial storyboards and visual treatments, through design, animation and delivering final files. You'll work closely with other designers and video production colleagues at WTW, sharing ideas and insights, participating in creative reviews, collaborating on projects that may be only partly animated, either in collaboration with others working on the non-animated segments or handling that work as well. You’ll lead our efforts to build alignment across motion and other media and create a positive and inspiring studio environment. You'll collaborate with marketing, digital and other colleagues, including others involved in video production, to understand their needs and consult on the best ways to bring them to life through motion graphics. You'll keep up to date on the latest trends in motion design and animation for brands and help us continually improve our motion offerings. You'll work closely with the WTW video team, sharing the team’s job, file and project tracking systems and platforms, and will learn all aspects of WTW video management as a fully contributing member of the team. You’ll be pitching in on general video editing as needed on occasion.

 

The Requirements

A Bachelors degree, certificate, or equivalent practical experience in design, film, illustration or a related field.5-10 years in a design, media or similar company, or within a corporate video or content team.Expertise in animation and design software, primarily Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro; proficient in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. An impressive portfolio showcasing your motion and editing work.Excellent design, 2D motion design and animation skills, especially with typography, color and composition. Excellent visual storytelling skills, including both storyboarding and an ability to capture emotion and personality in motion. Familiarity with interface motion design principles and their execution. Passion for telling stories, enriching experiences with motion and adding exciting creative touchesBroad skills in non-animation video editing.A growth mindset; constantly tracking what's going on in the design world, a natural desire to grow skills, improve our processes and methods, and understand the businesses we operate in.High attention to detail, in both the work and the workflow.Eagerness to collaborate across geographies, timezones, cultures and all areas of the company.Comfortable working both autonomously and closely with the team.Strong communication skills, and an ability to facilitate conversations around problems, goals and tradeoffs, building confidence in ideas and methods clearly and concisely.The ability to juggle multiple projects, work quickly and meet deadlines.

 

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
