Your New Role

Are you a bold and strategic creative mind with a passion for design and storytelling? Join our dynamic team as a Senior Motion Designer, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping campaigns that inspire and engage audiences across every platform. This role requires a skilled and confident designer who can generate ideas, refine concepts, and lead the production of exceptional creative and marketing design assets. 

As a Senior Designer, you’ll take the lead on Tier 1 projects and provide strategic input to elevate creative concepts from ideation to execution. Whether it’s creating for programmes, channels, platforms, or partners, your work will reflect the highest standards of design, creativity and innovation. 

Your Role Accountabilities

Generate and Execute Bold Ideas: Partner with Creative, Design, and Digital teams to ideate and produce innovative still and motion-based assets, ensuring materials align with project goals and meet the highest standards of craft.  

Supervise and Deliver End-to-End Production: Lead and oversee all aspects of design process, ensuring projects are executed with precision and excellence from concept to delivery. 

Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams and/ or external specialists, leveraging your design expertise to deliver exceptional creative projects that are on brief and on budget. 

Interpret and Challenge Briefs: Receive and effectively interpret marketing briefs, providing strategic input and challenging them when necessary to ensure the best creative outcomes. 

Communicate and Pitch Effectively: Engage in client and departmental communication, confidently pitching creative ideas and strategies to senior stakeholders and inspiring buy-in at all levels. 

Deliver Innovative and Effective Media: Ensure all creative and media outputs reflect cutting-edge production techniques and craftsmanship, delivering key messaging to viewers in the most impactful way. 

Champion Brand Consistency: Act as a brand guardian, maintaining consistency in tone of voice, visual identity, and messaging across all creative executions. 

 

Skills & experience:

Advanced Design Skills: Expertise in key design disciplines, including motion design, retouching, typography, and art direction, with a portfolio showcasing innovative, high-quality work. 

Creative Leadership: Confidence in directing and mentoring junior team members and freelancers, ensuring their work aligns with project goals and meets the highest creative standards. With the capability to step up and support or deputise for Creative Managers as needed, ensuring smooth project execution and team leadership. 

Multi-Platform Expertise: A deep understanding of multi-platform branding, with the ability to craft designs that resonate across broadcast, social, and digital channels. 

Social and Digital Savvy: A solid grasp of social and digital media platforms, with experience creating impactful content that engages audiences in these spaces. 

Technical Proficiency: High-level proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), combined with a strong understanding of digital production workflows. 

Audience and Brand Insight: Demonstrable understanding and affinity for broadcast brands, their content, and target audiences, ensuring your designs are always relevant and impactful. 

Stakeholder Collaboration: Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with senior internal and external stakeholders and collaborate effectively with marketing and creative teams. 

Trend Awareness: Up-to-date knowledge of the latest creative trends, techniques, innovations, and platforms, applying this insight to keep campaigns fresh and cutting-edge. 

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
