Capturing physical world and representing it in digital world is extremely challenging and extremely rewarding at the same time. Keeping up with the physical world as it changes, requires significant technology investments in Machine Learning. From Computer Vision to Generative AI, maps data uses the most cutting edge machine learning techniques to process, interpret and contextualize data from street images, aerial images, probe and a diverse set of other sources. Maps uses machine learning to understand the world as it stands today, predict where changes occur, track those changes and collect more evidence to create a complete and accurate map. As a Senior Manager of our ML team, you will lead all aspects of ML architecture, technology selection, model training, fine tuning, ablation studies and productization. This is an applied research role with high expectations in understanding new and emerging technologies, applying to maps data problems, creating solutions. You get to collaborate with of world class cross functional resources, across engineering, data analysts, labelers and validators. You will also have a front seat in architecting a complex ML centric data platform, collaborating with some of the best engineering minds of the world. You will working on very large and very small models, ranging from data center grade solutions to edge solutions. Your work will provide freshest and most accurate data to power delightful user experiences. Successful managers at Apple are able to own details of projects and long-term vision for the team. They collaborate optimally with partner/product teams to set the goals, expectations, and roadmaps for their teams. As a leader, you will provide technical and career mentorship to your team to ensure their success. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $252,400 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
