Job Title: Sr Mining Metallurgy Technician (Hands-On)

Location: Oakland, CA

Company Overview:

We are a mining operation located in Oakland, CA, seeking a hands-on, reliable individual to serve as our go-to person for maintaining, troubleshooting, and fixing equipment and systems in our mine. This is an operational, physically demanding role that requires previous experience in a mine setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Experience creating research plans, test plans, and sampling plans.Experience in various methods of construction and fabrication methods as well as various materials of construction.Experience in sampling methodology and data analytics.Experience in metallurgical laboratory environmentStrong knowledge of metallurgical processes, materials characterization, and failure analysis.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a mining operation, preferably in equipment maintenance or operations.Strong hands-on problem-solving skills and a mechanical aptitude.Ability to physically perform repairs and maintenance in a mining environment.Knowledge of mining safety standards and protocols. Metallurgy experience is preferred.Comfortable working in underground or industrial environments.A proactive attitude, reliability, and the ability to troubleshoot minor issues independently.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with industrial machinery, conveyors, pumps, and other heavy equipment.Certification in industrial maintenance or mining operations.Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $72.00
