Senior Medical Laboratory Technician - Clinical Laboratory

The position is responsible for technical Medical Laboratory Technician bench duties within the laboratory, for the assigned section(s). The position performs routine and complex tests in any of these potential sections (as assigned):  Point of Care, Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Molecular, and Immunohematology. The position has responsibility for planning, performing and evaluating laboratory testing analysis; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with physicians, patients, other hospital personnel, professional associations, and other organizations.

Required Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Society for Clinical Pathology or Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Medical Technologists or Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Association of Bioanalysts 3 years as an MLT in a clinical laboratory performing moderate and high complexity testing
