The Sr Medical Education Manager will identify educational needs in the ostomy field inclusive of health care providers, caregivers and ostomates while developing relevant content to support the clinical relevance of the business. This role will develop educational content in support of business strategy and in response to the needs of the HCP to deliver evidence-based practice, while also supporting the education of lay caregivers and ostomates.

This role is responsible for the ostomy content uploaded to the Medical Education Platform and subsequent updates to content at least every 5 years. In anticipation of results from our clinical studies, you will work with our evidence strategy team members to ensure research results are transformed into external education for HCPs and internal education for commercial teams at the appropriate level. As a customer facing role, you will work with KOLs, ostomate influencers and organizations to develop partnerships in educational events. You will work closely with the global and regional marketing teams in the production of educational materials to support educational events, webinars and congresses, while working with the Global medical affairs team to ensure education strategy alignment to business objectives. In addition, you will align with sales force training team members to ensure clinical competency of commercial team members on key strategic initiatives.

This a remote, US-based role, seeking someone residing in the eastern time zone.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the launch of the global medical education platform and provide ongoing management of content specific to the ostomy business unit.Collaborate with 3rd party LMS and digital health vendors to develop capability to deliver differentiated user experienceIdentify and incorporate emerging technologies to provide engaging content for usersEstablish global medical education strategy including key performance indicators to determine medical education impact to the business.Work with a cross functional team to ensure CRM integration of educational events to support customer engagement.Establish a bidirectional, global process for identifying, disseminating and communicating available education, demos and best practices across regional markets.  Develop and execute strategic outreach programs for HCPs and ostomates which raise the standard of practice across the continuum of care, educate and train specialized providers, and establish foundational programs to improve independence in care for persons living with an ostomy.Establish collaborative relationships with professional organizations who serve ostomy care HCPS and provide services to persons with an ostomyMonitor trends in scientific literature, professional organization activities and information from key opinion leaders to anticipate education needs

Skills & Experience:

5 years’ experience in medical device, pharma or equivalent industry, with at least 2 years’ experience specifically in medical education.Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsExperience in the accreditation of medical education for regional continuing education pointsProject planning, program management and process improvement skills to lead in a results-driven fashion


 

Qualifications/Education:

Minimum education includes bachelor’s degree- BA, BS, BBA, BSN or equivalent;Master’s degree MBA, MSN, M.Ed., MHA or equivalent.

Travel Requirements

Travel may be up to 25% of the time. Travel planning and need is self-managed with the exception of required meeting attendance as indicated by the Sr. Medical Affairs Director or CMO. The employee is required to have a valid passport.
