What You'll Do

You will support the Global External Communications Director in devising, implementing, and delivering BCG’s global media strategy. This will include developing, drafting and executing on communication strategies and messaging content for major BCG content and program activations, manage global PR agencies, providing strategic communications counsel and media training initiatives for BCG Managing Directors and Partners and other BCG leaders to promote and protect their business reputation and to build their profile to enhance BCG’s business performance.

 

You will actively participate in the creation and delivery of global media efforts and topic campaigns, liaising with other teams, such as Editorial, External Relations, local and Practice Area marketing teams. You will also provide a point of contact for regional and system press and marketing teams.

 

You will lead on building relationships with top tier media. You will take a leading role developing relationships with senior B2B editors and reporters from key trade publications of relevance to our Practice Areas and their clients. This will include building BCG’s relationship with the publications, positioning BCG experts as a go-to source of commentary, analysis, and thought leadership, promoting BCG’s research and analysis and securing coverage consistent with BCG’s brand.

 

You will also play a leading role developing BCG’s content and profile across broadcast media, with a specific focus on business news programs.

 

You will build and disseminate best practices, and help review, enhance and manage our crisis communications strategy.

What You'll Bring

10 years’ experience preferred in media relations, in agency or in-houseStrong media contacts in business and financial press in the UK and, ideally, internationallyExperience developing and delivering successful B2B media and communication strategiesExperience managing reputational and crisis situationsSkill in writing concepts and briefs, editing and writing press releasesExperience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organizationExperience in managing staff, agencies and other external suppliers

Who You'll Work With

You will be part of the Global Media Team, reporting to the Global Communications Director. Your everyday work will involve contact with various stakeholders across BCG, from other country and practice area marketing teams, to BCG Partners.
