+ We are looking for a driven individual to strengthen and grow our Mechanical Discipline across New Zealand.
+ You will be based in our vibrant Auckland, Newmarket office.
+ You will be part of a dynamic team working closely with our local clients to deliver projects whilst enjoying the awesome Auckland City lifestyle and office culture.
+ This is an exciting opportunity for a professional engineer with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects and working collaboratively with our clients and colleagues in remote offices. You will join a team that works on Water infrastructure projects, not only locally, but across New Zealand and the wider Asia Pacific region.
+ You will work alongside our Senior leaders and Principal Engineers to support and grow the business whilst ensuring your own development is second to none.
**What you need to bring**
+ Our preferred candidate for this role will have proven technical experience in diverse aspects of Mechanical Engineering for water infrastructure projects.
+ You will have proven experience in leading project teams to deliver complex water or wastewater treatment plant designs in traditional and design build environments.
+ You will be a people person, with exceptional communication skills and the technical understanding in your discipline.
+ You will have proven experience in leading diverse teams and managing resources.
+ You will have an understanding of 3D Design software requirements.
+ You will be experienced dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies.
+ In this exciting position, your own self-management skills will be as important as your technical and project management ones. You will need to be able to prioritise workloads whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with our Clients' and colleague's both locally and across the broader Stantec team.
+ You will have strong client facing skills and experience.
+ You will be able to work with remote teams to deliver projects to local clients.
+ Key requirements are a BE Mechanical or equivalent, plus ideally a minimum of 10 years relevant professional experience in the consulting or engineering industry.
+ CPEng or equivalent would be favourable but not essential.
