Responsible for developing go-to-market strategies for our northern market, inclusive of our three community hospitals and outpatient clinics in Prince William (Haymarket and Manassas), and Culpeper. This hybrid position will be located will be Northern Virginia, so all candidates MUST reside in Northern Virginia or be willing to relocate within 60 days of start date. Presence at local medical sites as required, and reimbursable travel to Charlottesville roughly monthly.
This position develops and manages strategic marketing campaigns and initiatives that build local, regional, and national reputation and volume for assigned portfolios, programs and/or UVA Health departments. He/she is responsible for the disciplined planning and execution of these programs, on time and on budget, under the supervision of the Marketing Director or Marketing Manager. This position is also responsible for additional support for the overall marketing communications team and is responsible for a wide variety of functions that support and build effectiveness in strategic marketing and provider engagement.Oversees system-level marketing strategy and positioning for assigned specialties, enhancing brand and specialty reputation, and optimizing volume and market share.Serves as strategic and operational lead for a variety of initiatives, mentoring individuals within team and overseeing cross functional projects, while continuously leveraging the latest digital marketing best practices from healthcare and other industries.Develops strategy/creative briefing documents, personas, and patient journeys, leveraging business, brand, competitive and market data insights, to develop holistic strategies and plans that effectively drive business outcomes and maximize ROI (segmentation, communication preferences, messaging strategy and measurement plans/learnings). Drives messaging and marketing strategy for collective team implementation, working closely with internal Design, Content, Digital teams, and outside agencies, understanding their processes, methods, and expertise to help ensure they effectively deliver during asset development and execution.Partners with channel subject matter experts to identify, capture and utilize data and analytics to measure success, optimize campaigns, rapidly iterate on strategy based on learnings, and inform future work. Sources, packages, and presents information to stakeholders at all levels, including senior-level leadership, to effectively drive programs/initiatives, reporting out on media metrics and KPIs. Oversees ad-hoc project initiatives from start to finish under the supervision of the Marketing Director/Marketing Manager, such as developing marketing recommendations and points of view.In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.Position Compensation Range: $60,236.80 - $96,387.20 Annual
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing communications, or other related field required.
Experience: 6 years of prior marketing PR or ad agency experience required. Prior experience specific to healthcare marketing and/or designated department desired.
Licensure: None required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
