The Senior Manager, Sales Intelligence holds a crucial role in the North America (NA) Go to Market Team at McCain. This role will assume responsibility to provide the data engine that informs commercial decision making in the organization. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, exceptional execution, commercial business savvy and hands-on, detailed involvement in the day-to-day business. 

The ideal candidate will have a natural inclination to business operations, with a strong record of accomplishment leading high performing sales or data teams that have fuelled incremental growth for top-tier organizations. They will pair strategic thinking and commercial acumen, with an entrepreneurial bias and tendency to thrive in environments with broad flexibility and scope. This leader will have the drive and vision to creatively grow the business, bringing fresh ideas and embracing change and innovation. They will be able to challenge the status and translate an identified opportunity into actionable plans with the ability to prioritize, create clarity. A robust collaborator, with an entrepreneurial spirit, this leader with be able to drive results, even in a world of limited resources.

The successful candidate is known for their ability to build strong data insights and understanding with variety of stakeholders – senior management peers, functional reports, and cross-functional partners. They will hold the respect, and professional interest of customers who will see this individual as a true partner and collaborator for growth, leveraging the art of the possible through data and analysis for shared benefit. This person will be a genuine and authentic leader, able to personally connect with their team and with the broader organization.

 
Accountabilities:

Provide data engine as a critical tool to support commercial execution, combining relevant data sets and leveraging appropriate platforms to ensure visibility, reporting and tracking against Channel and Customer Plans, including performance metrics to ensures continuous understanding of progress and outlook to inform action plans to support execution. Lead team in providing clean, proactive data and analysis that highlights untapped opportunities and potential risks to be averted at a Channel and Customer level. Support the build of relevant capabilities to read analysis and convert to commercial actions that support achieving the execution of the Company strategic and annual commitments.Own management and support for all Sales user interface systems (e.g. Salesforce, PowerBi).Work in partnership with IS to influence and optimize Global and NA technology roadmaps for the Commercial Teams. Work collaboratively with the Commercial peers to ensure relevant access to Channel and Customer data and analysis to support execution.Provide inputs to the development of sales incentive targets and visibility of progress against them for all stakeholders.Work with Channel stakeholders to establish tracking/reporting metrics against channel priorities.Provide visibility of broker activity and connects this to relevant performance data and/or platforms.Advocate and demonstrate the value of shared data to drive business performance with strategic customers as part of the Customer Team to create an agenda for elevating data sharing and integrating technology.Contribute and participate in commercial controls and processes across sales execution in market, ensuring an integrated and coordinated approach across all commercial processes. Responsible for providing reporting and analysis to support commercial solutions and insights to the VP Go to Market, SVP Sales and Commercial teams.Accountable for the implementation of data specific plan and initiatives that aligns with annual and long-term plans to support the overall success of McCain meeting/exceeding business objectives. 

 

Qualifications:

McCain is a private company and family owned – the ideal candidate needs to be very people-focused and embrace a culture of humility. University Graduate, Data and Insights or applicable fieldMinimum 10 years solid commercial experience, including 5 or more years of managing a team of direct employees. Experience working in commercial division of a global organization. Prior work experience in the food industry strongly preferred. Performance driven, high sense of urgency and delivery; executing at speed, ‘getting things done’.Ability to influence at all levels.  Entrepreneurial – embraces opportunities, tackles problems, and uses own initiative.Team Leader / Team Player – able to quickly connect and establish relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.Resilient - able to absorb and adapt to a changing environment.Adept at decision-making and adaptability in executing key business objectives. Consistently models the organization’s core values and Leadership Principles in daily actions and behaviors. Supports and sustains McCain’s culture.Excellent data and technology skills, matched with commercial acumen, including data analysis, planning and forecasting.A solid understanding of the business and markets, demonstrated learning agility.Data literate – able to interpret and ‘translate’ data and insights into meaningful implications and actions.

 

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of Power BI and other data toolsThe ability to interpret strategy into action and execution.  The inclination to seek, manage and analyze data from a variety of sources to support decisions and to align others with the organization's overall strategy and execution. An expert able to visualize the needs of the organization today and in the future ensuring suitable tools and data sets available to inform decision making. An entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas that will stretch the organization and push the boundaries within the industry. The ability to deliver in line with pace and timing to meet customer expectations and support company commitments.

Compensation Package: $107,600 - $143,500 USD annually + bonus eligibility 

 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
